Take me with you

Just finished a new track titled "Take me with you". The peeked and tweeked remix is to come. The world may not be ready for another collaboration since the infamous Intervolve grandure track was released.

Transferring songs back and forth over the interwebs is harder than one might think.
"Take me with you" has 22 tracks, and each of them had to be converted to it's own wave individually. 2 hours later and alot of french words, it is in peektweekers court. Looking forward to seeing what peektweeker will do with the track...that is all for now, thanks for reading.

Facebook Band Page

Creating a band page on facebook is a real headache. They have an application called "music player" that is supposed to play your tracks. You have no other choice but to use the "music player" application as it is the only one supported. Here is where the problems start...you upload all your tracks and assume people will be able to play them. Then you get a message stating that you have to verify your account before anyone can play your music. By "Verify" they mean scan your drivers license and e-mail it to them. Seems kind of sketchy...but you go ahead and do it knowing it is the only way your music will be heard on facebook. Then you get a message that says "Verification will take up to 5 business days, thanks for your patience."

At this time you are optimistic, 5 days is no big deal right? Then, 5 days pass and you log on to your account to see the message "Verification will take up to 5 business days, thanks for your patience." Soon, a month passes and every time you log onto your account you get the message, "Verification will take up to 5 business days, thanks for your patience." Now you are starting to feel like you have been hoodwinked into giving your drivers license to a bunch of scam artists. So you look up blogs about the "Facebook music player" to see if anyone else has had better luck. Only to find out there are 5,000 blog entries of people with the same story. Reading blog after blog about how some people have waited up to 4 months and still see the message "Verification will take up to 5 business days, thanks for your patience."

Starting to panic now, you send the admin of facebook music player an e-mail stating your concerns. Three weeks go by and still no word from music player admin. Then, when all hope is lost...you log on to your account 1 month and 3 weeks later expecting to see "Verification will take up to 5 business days, thanks for your patience," only this time your tracks are able to be played!

Seems to me that if Facebook wants to be competitive with: Myspace, reverbnation, looperman, and many other places bands can post their music. They need to fix the obvious gapping hole in their current system.

Thanks for listening to me vent.

Outlander by DJ Nodi

This song was inspired by the movie District 9. If you haven't seen the movie yet...you should, it is one of the most creative and entertaining movies I have seen in years. I sampled sound clips from the District 9 movie trailer throughout the song, and the climax of the song has the hard hitting electronic distortion sound bite found on the trailer as well. I was proud of this song, as it was one that didn't want me to finish it, and I pushed through the frustration and came out with something I really like.

Here is a LINK to "Outlander by DJ Nodi"

Let me know what you think...hope you enjoy.

New Music

I am proud to announce that my newest track will be a collaborative effort with singer/songwriter Stephanie Kay.

Stephanie Kay

I am about 80% finished and I am excited to hear what Stephanie comes up with on the vocal track. Vocals I have added to my songs in the past have been pre-recorded and sampled from other songs. This will be my first release with lyrics that were inspired by my creation.

Update: Just recieved and e-mail from Stephanie and she said she hopes to have her vocals done by February of 2010.
